ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
RUSA was founded in 2019 by Steve Coder. With no formal training specific to hunting and outdoor equipment design, Coder credits his desire to create Rusa and his foundation and understanding of hunting equipment and product construction to his passion for the industry and to over 30 years of hands on experience in the field.
In 1994, Coder wrote out a plan for a hunting company. Through the years, he accumulated a collection of concepts for new products and assembled a list of ways to innovate and improve existing products. After more than 30 years of observation and experience in the field, he was inspired to take it upon himself to create a company to bring his ideas to life. In 2019, Coder bought a small warehouse and assembled a small team with backgrounds in business development and product development. The Rusa Outdoors team is now made up of several members who each play a very distinct, crucial role. These members combine their expertise in marketing, branding, web development, media, creative content and product development. Through a collaborative effort, rusa is able to create and develop hunting companies that redefine the outdoor industry.
Coder’s vision for RUSA is to design and manufacture the best quality products money can buy and to produce innovative equipment that the hunting world has never seen.
